Michael Davidov

Managing Partner

Michael Davidov is a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of The Pine Street Group. He is responsible for identifying, sourcing and executing on the firm’s investments, in addition to focusing on post-acquisition integrations and operational improvement initiatives at portfolio companies.

Prior to founding The Pine Street Group he founded and was the CEO of Apollo Care Services, a healthcare service business that provided specialist physician care (e.g., dermatology and podiatry) direct to residents of skilled nursing facilities.

Prior to Apollo Care Services, he was an investment professional at Altamont Capital Partners, a middle market private equity fund where he had significant experience in healthcare, franchise businesses, specialty chemicals, and financial services.

Michael began his career as a consultant at Bain & Company where he worked with large corporations to solve a wide variety of strategic opportunities and issues.

Michael received a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard Business School (graduated with honors) and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania (magna cum laude).

Jonathan Sassover

Managing Partner

Jonathan Sassover is a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of The Pine Street Group. He is responsible for identifying, sourcing and executing on the firm’s investments, in addition to focusing on post-acquisition integrations and operational improvement initiatives at portfolio companies.

Prior to founding The Pine Street Group he was an investment professional at Alden Global Capital, a multi-billion dollar event-oriented & distressed investment firm where he focused on investing in the healthcare, industrials, financial services, and media sectors.

Jonathan began his career as an investment banker at the Credit Suisse Group where he worked in the Financial Sponsor Group focused on financing transactions for private equity owned companies.

Jonathan received a Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School (James Kent & Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar) and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania (magna cum laude). He is admitted to practice law in the state of California.
